This Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp is a fast, flavor-packed dish with juicy shrimp, savory garlic, and a golden Parmesan finish. It is simple enough for a weeknight but tasty enough to serve for guests, which is honestly the best kind of recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced, or more if you are feeling bold
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika, smoked if available
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, optional
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easier cleanup.
  2. Place the shrimp in a bowl and coat them with the olive oil or butter, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Toss until everything is evenly covered.
  3. Spread the shrimp out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Scatter the Parmesan over the shrimp so each piece gets a little cheesy coverage.
  5. Roast for 8 to 10 minutes, just until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  6. For extra color and crispness, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end, keeping a very close eye on it.
  7. Finish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon before serving.
